Aditya Agarwal makes Day 4 of Monster Stack Event

Coming into the 2018 World Series of Poker, Aditya 'Intervention' Agarwal had nearly $1 million in live cashes and many years of experience of playing at the WSOP. The Team PokerStars Pro was one of India's best cashes of winning a WSOP gold bracelet and he hasn't disappointed so far.

He's had 5 cashes so far in this series, with combined earnings of around $20k and a best cash of $6,482 for finishing 45th in an NLHE Event. He is now all set for his biggest cash of the series, having made it to Day 4 of Event #48: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack.

He came into Day 3 as one of the chip leaders, and proved why he is one of India's best, running well on this third day of play as well. The tournament had a massive field of 6,260 entries and at the end of today's play, just 29 survivors remain, who have just bagged up to return tomorrow.

Agarwal has a medium stack at the moment, with the current pay-out at $28,841 for 28th place. Either way, this is going to become his highest score of WSOP 2018 and he will double his winnings from this series thus far. However, he will certainly have his eyes on that mega prize of $1,037,451 reserved for first place.

Agarwal ended the day with nearly 2 million in chips, with the day's chip leader having a 5:1 lead over him. Indian origin Canadian player Shyam Srinivasan is also in the mix with a slightly bigger chip stack than Agarwal's while Indian origin US player Nipun Java cashed out in 126th in the tournament, for $6,794. 2-time bracelet winner Steve Billikrakis is the only one on the final table with a previous WSOP gold bracelet.
