Cash Game Festival from 27-29 July at Big Daddy Casino

It’s been pouring buckets across the country during this monsoon season and in Goa it might just rain big money for poker players this July! We mentioned last month about the inaugural cash game festival which took place onboard the Big Daddy casino ship in Goa. This time they have returned with their second edition which will take place from 27-29 July.

The poker room onboard Big Daddy is the newest live venue for poker in Goa and they had a good turnout for their inaugural edition last month. “I am extremely pleased with the response we got for our first edition. We expected around 50 players for the cash game fest in June but more than 80 players eventually showed up,” said Vasim Rozani who heads up poker room operations at Big Daddy. Rozani expects the numbers to be a little bit better this time around as news of the new poker room filters through to the poker enthusiasts. “While we reached out to all the regulars, there were many players who were not aware or who were unable to make it to the first edition. A majority of these now know about this second edition so it should be yet another action packed weekend for poker lovers in Goa.”

The success of the first season has prompted Rozani to add additional stakes so this time around the three-day cash game festival from 27-29 July will feature cash games of stakes starting from INR 20,000, INR 50,000 and even INR 100,000! The festival will have various game formats including No Limit Texas Holdem and Pot-Limit Omaha. Blinds will start from 100-200, 200-400 and even 500-1000 tables are expected to draw poker enthusiasts from across the country.

At present the Big Daddy casino is operating within the confines of what was earlier the Maharaja casino. The casino which had been inactive for several years due to several reasons was finally given a new lease of life a few months ago when it came under new management. As far as the poker room is concerned, that is being handled by the same team behind the India Poker Championship tournament brand as well as The Spartan Poker.
