Laszlo Bujtas leads final 12 in WSOP Europe Main Event

It has been over 20 days of gruelling poker action at the Kings Casino in Rozvadov, where Europe’s biggest poker tournament series is being contested at the moment. We’re down to the last bracelet event of the 2018 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) series and we’re probably just one day away from the final winner being crowned.

Four days have passed since the prestigious Event #10: €10,350 No-Limit Hold’em WSOPE Main Event kicked off in Rozvadov and that original field of 534 entries has now whittled down to the final 12 players, with plenty of past gold bracelet winners busting their stacks on the way here.

At the end of Day 4, it is Hungary’s Laszlo Bujtas who has the chip lead, sitting with a massive stack of 7,105,000 chips. The only previous bracelet winner in the mix currently is America’s Ryan Riess, who won the 2013 WSOP Main Event and was also the chip leader at the end of Day 3.

Bujtas barely has $240k in total live earnings and a current best cash of $62k. With the current pay-out for 12th place at €59,011, he is at least guaranteed of a new career-best score, but if he maintains the dominance on Day 5, he could very well double his career earnings so far.

Current top ten chip counts:

  1. Laszlo Bujtas – 7,105,000
  2. Koray Aldemir – 6,890,000
  3. Milos Skrbic – 6,125,000
  4. Ryan Riess – 5,980,000
  5. Jack Sinclair – 4,770,000
  6. Ming Xi – 4,635,000
  7. Vladimir Troyanovskiy – 4,255,000
  8. Ihor Yerofieiev – 3,175,000
  9. Bulcsu Lukacs – 3,125,000
  10. Stoyan Obreshkov – 2,855,000

The biggest competition on Day 5 for Bujtas would be second in the chip lead, Koray Aldemir and former WSOP champ, Ryan Riess. It’ll be interesting to see how play folds out when the final 12 survivors hit the tables later today. Keep reading GutshotMagazine.com to see who goes on to become the new poker champion of Europe.
