Paltalk launches real time voice & video for board games, poker etc!

The pandemic has played a major role in boosting the growth of online gaming platforms in India. The sudden growth has led to a number of companies investing in this market. Paltalk Inc is one such organization that has launched an innovative addition to video and board games.

Paltalk is a software innovator that powers multimedia social applications. It has now launched real time voice for video card and board games on its video-based communities. This new offering has popular games like poker, blackjack, gin rummy, bridge, and chess.

Jason Katz, Chairman and CEO of Paltalk, Inc commented, “The technology for our new games has been internally developed and provides an immersive experience that is almost like playing in person, as each player sees real time video of every other player and hears real time voices as well. We believe that in this time of COVID-19, our technology that enables people to genuinely feel as though they are playing in person, is important and we’re excited about the potential for these new games and the others to come. We’re also continuing to invest in additional new features and enhancements for our large video-based communities and look forward to further announcements in the upcoming months.”

Paltalk, which has been in this industry since two decades is also known for hosting one of the world’s largest collections of video-based communities. According to a survey conducted on Statista, the time spent on online gaming by the male population in India observed an impressive growth of 56 percent between March 2020 and April 2020. Similarly, the female demographic also showed a strong presence during the same period. The substantial increase in the month-over-month growth was due to the nation-wide lockdown limiting the movement of over a billion people from March 25, 2020 to April 14, 2020.
