11Wickets signs deal with Amazon Pay
The fantasy sports industry in India has been growing rapidly in the span of past couple of years, with some industry key-players helming it. 11Wickets, a new entrant in this market, has already made a few big headlines in its history of existing. The Ability Games owned platform signed the Bollywood actress Sunny Leone as their brand ambassador in August this year, on India’s 72nd Independence Day.
In a recent development, the Kolkata-based company made deal with the online payments processing service Amazon Pay, which is owned by Amazon, a worldwide giant in the e-commerce, cloud computing and artificial intelligence markets.
The deal is a significant one in 11Wickets’ career, as it will now be able to provide its over 10 Lakh registered users with a popular and easy payments option, banking on Amazon’s already well-established and trusted services. 11Wickets, over the months, has become the fastest growing fantasy sports platform in India and this deal is a major boost to the company, which will be apparent in the coming months.
Navneet Makharia, Director of 11Wickets was enthusiastic about the new partnership and commented, “We are excited to join hands with Amazon Pay. As part of the introductory offer, they are giving a 50% cashback to users depositing through Amazon Pay on its platform. The parent company of 11Wickets, Ability Games, also operates the online poker site PokerLion and its rummy brand Rummy24 is also in line to be launched next.

The online mobile and games industry in India is a INR 1,000 to INR 1,500 Crore business and its growing at a neck-break speed of over 60%, which is a good sign for anyone investing in this market.
