We have reached the business end of the second edition of the WPT India series, with the biggest prizes of the series waiting to be won today, the final day of the series. It has been a fantastic event for World Poker Tour (WPT) and for poker in our country as well, with the numbers going through the roof.

One of the highlight tournaments was the WPT India INR 100k Highroller Event which kicked off yesterday with a steep buy-in of INR 1,00,000. The field would obviously be smaller with this high buy-in, but the level of competition would definitely be higher, as 120 entries registered on Day 1 yesterday.

By the end of the day's play, quite a few of the biggest names in Indian poker bagged their chips to return for Day 2 of this mega event. 64 players from the original field went through and leading this pack was none other than BLT 3 Kick off Event champion, Ashish Munot.

Day 1 ended after Level 10 with the blinds at 500/1000 plus the 1000 big blind ante. Munot progressed with a massive stack of 195,200 and the closest to him was Jaydeep Dawer, who progressed with 148,300 in chips. Rounding off the top three was Ganesh Kompella with 142,400 in chips.

Plenty of known names progressed to Day 2, including Adda52 Celebrity Pro Minissha Lamba, Adda52 Team Pro Kunal Patni, India's WSOP bracelet boy Aditya Sushant, Rajeev Kanjani, Kavish Kukreja, Sahil Agarwal, Raghav Bansal, Vivek Rughani, Jasven Saigal, 35k Superstack winner Abhishek Jalan, PokerStars Team Pros Muskan Sethi and Aditya Agarwal and plenty others.

With such a high buy-in, you could have always expected only the best names in the business to be in action, and that's exactly what has happened here. We can expect some thrilling poker to be played on Day 2, with huge prizes on offer. The top 15 players will share the massive prize pool.
