Adda52 Founders invest in edutech startup iChamp
The top businessmen always believe in expansion of their business range and that's exactly what Adda52 founders Anuj Gupta and Mohit Agarwal have gone ahead and done. As a round of seed funding, Adda52, one of India's leading poker companies, has invested in edutech startup, iChamp.
Taking forward their vision to strengthen mental skills through technology and gamification, Adda52 is backing the concept behind this startup, which is basically a learning app which makes math fun for children. They say a lot of math is needed in poker and it's only fitting that Adda52 decided to invest in such a startup.
iChamp is India’s first LIVE and real-time gaming edutech platform, which aims at improving the understanding of concepts of Mathematics through the likes of games, quizzes and other activities, inculcating continuous practice. Currently, this app is available for CBSE and ICSE students between Grade 1 and 8.
The multiplayer Math learning app allows students to compete with peers across the country while also getting an all-India ranking to go with their virtual and physical certificates. The Gurugram-based startup was founded by Mohit Bansal and Anil Kumar, who were also core team members of Adda52 in the past.
On getting seed fund from the founders of Adda52, Mohit Bansal said, “We are delighted to have received investment by Anuj and Mohit. The investment will help iChamp in expanding operations, increasing user base and enhancing product features, thus, benefiting both students and parents.”
The Adda52 founders also commented on the same, saying, “Data shows that young children are willing to practice their sums a lot more on the iChamp app because of the interesting competition formats that they have introduced. It is so heartening to see Adda52 alumni create such innovative concepts."
