Aditya Sushant finishes 9th in WSOP Online Championship
Aditya Sushant is widely regarded as being among the best poker pros in India, becoming the first Indian poker player to win a WSOP gold bracelet when he shipped the Tag Team Event last year. He had a brilliant run in the 2017 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, cashing out in 10 different events.
This year, he flew down later to play in WSOP 2018 and his first cash of the year came in Event #61: $1,000 WSOP.com ONLINE No-Limit Hold'em Championship, where Sushant finished an impressive 9th position in this tournament where he battled with the best on the WSOP virtual felts.
The tournament was eventually won by Ryan Tosoc, who bagged his first WSOP bracelet and a top prize of $283,778. Sushant was also awarded a handsome prize of $20,969 (~INR 14.37 lakh) for 9th place, which took his career live poker winnings past half a million dollars.
Sushant had two big wins in WSOP 2017, taking home $75,319 for his bracelet win and then also cashing out for $44,255 for finishing 8th in the $1,500 NLHE Event last year, so he isn't new to winning big scores in Vegas and other parts of the world. Now, all eyes will be on him as the Main Event draws near. Can he come back home with his second WSOP gold bracelet?
