Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam is currently witnessing a major series, the 2019 Asian Poker Tour (APT) Vietnam Kickoff. The series has already seen a handful of Indian players featuring in some events. The Main Event of the series has our very own Aditya Sushant in a comfortable position at 11th in chip counts after Day 1A.

The Monster Stack 1 was the first event of the series and is already in the books, with Michael Kim Falcon being crowned the champion and ranking 1st in the Player of the Series race. The second event, Event #2 Super High Rollers is now also in the books. It saw a total of 28 entries made, including 4 re-entries. The buy-in of VND 107,500,000 (~INR 3.29 Lakhs) coughed up individually by the entries created the prize pool of VND 2,716,000,000 (~INR 83.21 Lakhs).

Leading in chip counts yesterday was British pro Alex Lindop with 2,533,000 chips. The race also featured Linh Tran and Phachara Wongwichit with 1,241,000 and 309,00 chips respectively. Out of the top 5 players paid in the tournament, Alex Lindop was the crowned champion and took home VND 1,160,333,000 (~INR 35.26 Lakhs). The whole event was livestreamed on APT's Twitch and is also available on APT's YouTube, click here to watch it.

Lindop hails from UK and has upwards of $800K in live cashes from various tournaments in the past. This win has added another $1+ million to his already decent earnings. The player has played across the world, from Barcelona to Las Vegas. He even finished 9th in APPT National High Roller Macau. He earned his best live cash in 2015, at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) $1,500 NLH event for finishing 1st in it for $531,037. He also earned the elusive WSOP gold bracelet for that.

Final Pay-Outs –

  1. Alex Lindop - VND 1,160,333,000 (~$117K)
  2. Feng Hua Huan - VND 672,569,000
  3. Linh Tran - VND 416,342,000
