Aniket W wins SVS Main Event on Spartan
Yesterday was the final day of the Spartan Value Series (SVS) where players can buy-in for little or nothing and win big. Once again, five tournaments were hosted during the day and five different winners emerged, each making considerable bankroll additions. SVS Event #21 INR 55k GTD
The first tournament of the day attracted 350 players entering for a buy-in of INR 165 with the top 23 players eventually being paid out a minimum amount of INR 638. Coming out on the top of the field was ‘veer22’ who bagged the title and added INR 7,509 for his place to his bankroll. 6 players entered the final hand of the tournament and ‘veer22’ leading with 212k in the final hand wins and collects the final pot, following which a 6-way deal took place.
SVS Event #22 INR 1.5 Lakhs GTD
The buy-in for the second tournament was doubled to INR 385 and here, 428 entries joined the field. Only the top 31 players finished in the money but each of them received a minimum cash prize of INR 1,320. ‘Jhonnymaddog’ emerged as the champion, bagging decent prize money for this victory. Here, he beat 'KOWLY22’ in heads-up and the latter was awarded for finishing second best.
SVS Event #23 INR 2.5 Lakhs GTD
The buy-ins kept rising on SVS Day 5 and here, each of the 428 entries in this field paid INR 770 to enter the tournament and eventually, the prize pool was shared among the top 27 positions with a min-cash of INR 2,500. ‘madnutscrazy’ outlasted each entry to win the title and add a healthy amount to his bankroll beating ‘Asid’ in heads-up who eventually settle for the runner-up position.
In Level #32 with blinds at 6,000/12,000 ante 1,200, ‘madnutscrazy’ (5d 2s) leading with 1.4 million chips playing against ‘Asid’ (Js 7s) who had 299k chips. Flop opened 8c 6s 5s, ‘Asid’ bets 25k and gets a call from the former. With 5h on the turn, ‘madnutscrzy’ confidently puts his entire chip stack in the middle holding three of a kind 555, while the opponent calls. Eventually, the latter shows his single pair 55 and ‘madnutscrazy’ walks away with the title.
SVS Event #24 Main Event INR 15 Lakhs GTD
The Main Event had a buy-in of INR 2,200 and a massive number of 695 entries registered, out of which the top 55 places were paid a minimum amount of INR 7,350. The champion of the night was Aniket W aka ‘Anteman’ bagging the first-place prize money after defeating Anirban Das aka ‘pokernoob’ in heads-up with his higher pair of 99 while the opponent showed his single pair 55.
SVS Event #25 Electric Big Daddy INR 5 Lakhs GTD
The last and the final event of SVS was Electric Big Daddy attracting 496 players entering for a buy-in of INR 990. The prize pool was later shared by the top 47 remaining, each paid a minimum amount of INR 2,850. The final event crowed Amit Sahu aka ‘Magnemo’ walking out with handsome prize money after beating ‘utkarsh99’ in heads-up. Holding two pair of sevens and sixes awarded him the title of the night.
