APT Vietnam Championships Event: Dhaval Mudgal leads Day 1B

Marking an end to the most-awaited Main Event, the second featured tournament came in with VND 6 billion GTD. The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Vietnam observed an incredible night yesterday, wrapping up Day 1B of the Championships Event. Asia is doing well, enticing several players from around the world, especially a sizeable group of Indians in participation.

The second and the last starting flight of the tournament attracted 82 players with each paying a buy-in of VND 38 million. After 8 rounds of play, only 45 players battled it out to advance to Day 2. The leaderboard saw the rise of India’s Dhaval Mudgal amassing an impressive 291,200 chips. The Indian pro player was closely followed by USA’s Ruth Graham with 215,400 chips. Mudgal secured his position as an overall chip leader on Day 2.

The field observed another 4 Indians progressing to the next flight including Madhav Gupta with 115,000 chips, Sahil Chutani bagging 82,700 chips, Kartik Ved with 57,500 chips and Sajal Gupta with 39,000 chips. Other notable players in contention, progressing to Day 2 include the on-going APT Main Event runner-up Chauve Vincent with 144,800 chips, Choi Eng Loong with 153,900 chips, Iori Yogo with 93,000 chips and others.
