Aram Zobian leads after Day 6 of WSOP Main Event

“I can't even comprehend how good I'm running right now. Definitely blessed. Never ran this good in a tournament, not even close. Hopefully that'll be true for tomorrow as well,” said Aram Zobian after finishing Day 6 of the 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event, with a massive chip lead.

Zobian is a poker player from Rhode Island, USA, and he is currently leading the final 26 players going into Day 7 of the 2018 WSOP Main Event. He has only $110,444 in live poker earnings prior to today and just two cashes in this year's WSOP. His live poker career spans only around 2 years, so reaching this stage of such a prestigious tournament is quite an achievement.

His highest live cash so far is just $47,000 that he earned for finishing second in a MegaStack Challenge tournament in Mashantucket. However, he is certainly going to walk away as a much richer person as the current payout in this tournament is running at $282,630.

If he does manage to keep this run going, much bigger numbers will be coming home too, with a whopping $8.8 million reserved for first place. He won't be a favourite among Indian poker players though, as he sent Indian pro Nishant Sharma to the rail earlier today, in 34th place.

The final 26 will come out tomorrow with an intention of improving their respective chip stacks and continuing their deep runs at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. “Same as every day. Stay cool, confident and try to play my best. Do my morning routine and take it one day at a time, one hand at a time,” said Zobian, revealing his plans for Day 7.

4th place finisher in WSOP 2013 Sylvain Loosli (11,635,000) and 2009 WSOP Main Event champion Joe Cada (8,850,000) are other notable names among the final 26. Who do you think will be in the lead at the end of Day 7? Keep reading GutshotMagazine.com to get timely updates on the same.
