Asian Poker Tour Partners with Baadshah Gaming
The Asian Poker Tour (APT) is easily the biggest brand when it comes to poker in the continent of Asia. The APT hosts various live poker tournament series across Asia throughout the year, with regions like Macau, Manila, Vietnam, Korea and others being the popular locations for these series.
The APT is yet to come to India, but they have now made a big step towards increasing Indian participation at their events across Asia. They've partnered with Indian poker company Baadshah Gaming to allow Indians to qualify via live and online satellites offered by Baadshah.
These satellites can be played online at Baadshah Gaming and also at live events as and when a Baadshah Gaming Live series is hosted at the Casino Pride in Goa. The Indian poker website will become APT's exclusive partner in India, giving away APT packages to players at a fraction of the real buy-in costs.
Lloyd Fontillas, APT General Manager, commented on the partnership, saying, “The goal of the partnership is to increase the presence of the Indian players at each and every APT event and we believe with Baadshah Gaming having the capabilities of running both online and land-based qualifiers this will happen.”
“In line with our aim to promote poker as a game of skill in India, we are excited to team up with the prestigious Asian Poker Tour. We believe that this partnership will benefit the Indian poker community in multiple ways, the best of which is that it will give both amateurs and professionals alike the opportunity to test their skills against the very best poker players in the Asian circuit,” said Madhav Gupta, Baadshah Gaming Co-founder.
The APT is currently hosting a tournament series in Vietnam and they also have stops scheduled in Korea, the Philippines and two in Macau for the rest of 2018. Indian qualifiers will win packages to these events through Baadshah Gaming over the next few months.
