Daniel Perkins leads Day 1B of APL Vietnam Main Event
Asia Poker League (APL) is one of the bigger names in Asian tournament poker and they've slowly been expanding their range across the continent, recently completing their maiden series in Taiwan. After APL Taiwan, they immediately moved over to the Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Ming City for APL Vietnam 2019, a series scheduled between 9-20 May 2019.
The prestigious Main Event began a couple of days back and the VND 16.5 million buy-in tournament will have a total of 4 starting flights before we continue with Day 2. On Day 1A, a total of 64 entries (55 unique + 9 re-entries) participated and by the end of the day, 14 survived, with Nguyen Thi Hien Hoa in the lead.
The numbers were more-or-less the same on Day 1B, with 70 entries registering and only 15 of them surviving to continue on Day 2. 14 levels were played as it was on Day 1A and it was USA’s Daniel Perkins amassing the largest stack of 292,000 chips among the final 15 survivors. Like on Day 1A, no Indian players progressed from 1B.
