Dhaval Mudgal on final table of APT Vietnam Championships Event

Pro Poker Club hosting Asian Poker Tour (APT) in Vietnam has been seeing some tremendous action. The second featured tournament of the series, the Championships Event VND 6 billion GTD is most starred after the Main Event. It took 6 intense hours yesterday for Day 3 to come to a standstill, forming the final 8 players.

The Indians have been engrossed on their live screens and the ride of the on-going tournament has been quite topsy-turvy. China’s Fu Bang Huang hit the top spot on the leaderboard after amassing an impressive 2,270,000 chips. The Chinese player entered the day 10th in chip lead is however closely followed by Indian poker pro Dhaval Mudgal with 1,425,000 chips.

Accumulating total live earnings of over $469k, Mudgal sits 9th in India’s All-Time money list. The champion of 2018 WPT Vietnam Main Event is chasing to grab the second title for India after the massive win of Akshay Nasa in the Main Event! Now, coming back to yesterday’s grinding session, Vincent Chauve leading 26 players on Day 3 was pushed to the 4th position. Although, he initiated the day becoming the first player to cross million and railing Ta Duy Quoc Chinh in 16th place.

Gradually several hopefuls had to quit the journey to the final table including India’s Laksh Pal Singh who was railed out by Fu Bang holding a higher pair of Kings over Singh’s Queens, finishing at 10th position with VND 136 million (~INR 4.23 Lakh).

  3. Kensuke Koizumi - 1,320,000
  4. Vincent Chauve - 1,285,000

The player to bust first on the final day would receive a minimum of VND 241 million (~INR 7.48 Lakhs). Here's a look at the final payouts:

  • 3rd place - VND 730,780,000
  • 4th place - VND 527,830,000
  • 5th place - VND 394,730,000
  • 6th place - VND 304,650,000
