Dhaval Mudgal second of 15 in WPT Vietnam Main Event
Over the last couple of days, several Indians qualified across three starting flights to make it to Day 2 of the WPT Vietnam Main Event at the Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Minh. This was the inaugural WPT stop is Vietnam and so far, it has been a huge success with plenty of Indian participation as well as participation from several other countries.
One of the major successes for India there so far was Sumit Sapra striking a deal to finish second in the Opening Event, while Mad Over Poker Team Pro Zarvan Tumboli also did well, winning the HCM Cup a couple of days back. Now, we've reached the final day of the WPT Vietnam Main Event and we're down to just the final 15 contenders.

The original field of 679 entries created what became the largest ever prize pool ever seen in the country of Vietnam - what a way to mark WPT's first tournament series here! The VND 13,172,600 (~$565,000) prize pool is being shared among these top players and Dhaval Mudgal is India's last survivor at the moment.
On Day 2, many known Indian pros like Alok Birewar, Zarvan Tumboli, Bobbe Suri, Sajal Gupta, Amanpreet Singh, Nitin Jain, Raghav Bansal, Kanishk Upreti, Aman Dhamija, Romit Advani, Vivek Rughani, Abhinav Iyer, Vidwath Shetty, Vinod Megalmani, Nishant Sharma, and Chiraag Patel busted their stacks.
Now, Mudgal has prime position at the Main Event, currently sitting pretty with the second biggest chip stack of all, only behind Yik Yin “Ray” Chiu. Mudgal has 2.355 million chips and isn't too far behind Chiu's 2.43 million chips. Remember, Mudgal is in contention to win the massive top prize of VND 2,427,580,000 (~INR 75.96 lakh).
