GGPoker adds innovative staking feature to its platform
One of the biggest poker networks globally, GGPoker now has something that online poker players will be extremely fascinated about. It has come up with a unique tournament staking feature that enables you to support your preferred player or even sell your own action, becoming the first website to offer such a feature.
Backing and staking is a common act and a big part in poker tournaments. Some staking arrangements are simply one-off deals while other ongoing partnerships can continue for months or years. Several top online poker players are a part of staking groups that have been running for a long time. You can usually find these players selling action through social media or other online platforms and now you can do the same on GGPoker for free!
The staking tab is found in the tournament lobby of GGPoker for all eligible events. It facilitates buying a percentage of action or a portion of the cost of their buy-in. Say if a tournament buy-in is $10, your action needs to be sold at 2x the amount to enter the tournament. You sell 50% of your buy-in at this mark-up of 2x and a backer buys 5% of your action for $1. In case you cash the tournament, the backer will benefit the equivalent percentage of your winning that they purchased.
“GGNetwork is constantly trying to push the envelope of online poker, especially when it comes to keeping things fun/engaging and streamlining the player experience. We feel in-client staking ticks both boxes,” said the Head of GGNetwork, Jean Christophe-Antoine “Having a piece certainly makes for great sweats, especially in the current era of live-streamers, where you can track how your investment is doing in real-time. From a utility perspective, there’s no need to leave the client, and action can be bought or sold with a few simple clicks.”
Definitely, buying a share is a wonderful way to make money if you do not plan on playing the game. A good piece of news for players out there is that they don’t have to post their packs on other websites as the entire transaction can take place right in the tournament lobby. All tournament staking is handled automatically by the GGPoker software which provides a seamless experience.
