Event #64: $888 Crazy Eights No-Limit Hold'em is done with its four starting flights and by the end of it, we had an accumulated field of 10,188 entries. With that, Crazy Eights became one of many WSOP 2019 tournaments which shattered participation records, passing last year's number by a fair margin.

Madhav Gupta was among 4 Indians to progress from Day 1C and now, we're here to report the final starting flight which saw another healthy Indian contingent in action. From the total field of 4,494 entries on the day, several Indians played and 8 managed to catch a bag by the time play halted for the day.

Leading them is Adda52 Pro Tarun Goyal who bagged 477,000 chips while Rahul Byrraju is close behind him with 451,000 chips. Only 561 players progressed from this flight, adding to 662 survivors from the first three starting flights, and Goyal and Byrraju are the only two Indians above the 290,874 chips average stack of Day 1D.

Others to progress today include Navkiran Singh (228,000), Kunal Patni (184,000), Rohan Rishi (177,000), Naresh Veeravalli (152,000), Meherzad Munsaf (134,000), and Sanjay Taneja (64,000). This means, a total of 15 Indian players will be in contention for a gold bracelet on Day 2 tomorrow, and all of them are guaranteed at least a min-cash.

Paawan Bansal, Dhaval Mudgal and others also participated on the day but weren't able to survive the scheduled levels to get a bag. The overall chip leader turned out to be Portugal's Luis Pinho who ended with 1,419,000 chips while some of the notables to bag big stacks include Chance Kornuth, Mark Radoja, Yohwan Lim, Greg Merson and others.
