Guneet Singh Kwatra wins Sunday SuperStack at Spartan
Every Sunday is delightful when it comes to playing poker on The Spartan Poker with the Sunday SuperStack tournament guaranteeing INR 20 Lakhs on a buy-in for INR 5,500. It was former Millionaire Guneet Singh Kwatra who shipped the Sunday SuperStack tournament for INR 5,48,550. Kwatra outlasted 414 entries in the tournament. These entries made a prizepool of INR 20,70,000, which was distributed to the top 40 places with a min-cash of INR 12,420.
Kwatra is from Jalandhar, Punjab and is an MBA from MDI Gurgaon. He has worked with many internet start-ups for most of his career and he is currently working with one in Bangalore. Speaking about his introduction to poker, he got hooked on to the game during college, where he played recreationally. Later, he moved to Bangalore where he picked up the game a bit more, playing some Live Poker. He also started watching some internet content around that time, which helped him understand the nuances a bit better.
Speaking about the tournament experience he said, “It was a fairly deep structure, gradual blind levels, a pretty good prizepool and 100x up top, ticking all boxes for a must-play tournament. I ran well in key spots of course.”
It’s just a week away for Hot Tournament Leaderboard Challenge and ‘thekid’ is leading the pack with 2,664 points, while Siddarth ‘PeterPunter’ Singhvi is on the second place with 2,607 points and Anirban ‘pokernoob’ Das is at third place with 2,571 points. Don’t forget the Hot Tournament Leaderboard Challenge is of INR 15,00,000 where the first place prize will be INR 5,00,000.
