It has been around a week since the India Poker Championship (IPC) concluded at Goa's Big Daddy Casino. This was a much-awaited series as it marked the comeback of IPC after a hiatus of 3 long years. The Big Daddy poker room was buzzing between 11-15 September, with crowds coming in from across the country. Outcome? All 4 scheduled tournaments passed their advertised guarantees by a long way!

The series promised INR 3+ Crore in guaranteed prize money but when the floors filled up on Day 1, we knew it was going to cross this promised amount. By the end of the fifth day, IPC had broken attendance records in all their 4 tournaments and the overall series guarantee went up to INR 5.48 Crore. Here's a summary of the performance of all the tournaments...

There were quite a few surprises that IPC had in store for the players apart from the big prize pools. All winners who had an account on Spartan Poker were eligible to getting 100% TDS refund, which amount to a lot for poker pros who bleed money in taxes. Apart from that, we even had 'King of Instagram' Dan Bilzerian make an appearance on the tournament floor at Big Daddy. He attended a press conference and even ended profitable after a night of high-stakes cash action on the VIP floor.

It was an absolutely exhilarating series in Goa and IPC immediately announced the next edition of the series which is set to take place early in December 2019, so start booking your tickets right away.
