Red Dragon is back with its thrilling action before the year ends! PokerStars LIVE recently made an announcement that Shinhwa World Resort - Landing Casino in Jeju, South Korea is making way for the return of very popular Red Dragon JEJU 2019 from 9-15 November 2019.

The 2019 Red Dragon is a 7-day live poker event featuring 18 tournaments that comes with a KRW 1 Billion ($827K) guarantee for the Main Event and KRW 300 million ($248K) guarantee for Baby Dragon Event. Due to the freezeout format the tournament stands out from various other poker series in Asia.

The previous year’s Main Event attracted a total field of 613 entries setting a record for the biggest ME field in Korea’s live poker history. The massive field was beaten by China’s Yuechan Shi who became the Dragon Slayer to take home a stunning amount of KRW 266,060,000 (~INR 1.68 Crores).

Owing to the attractive prize pool, players from all over Asia, especially India, are highly expected at the Red Dragon 2019. Although the previous year’s tournament witnessed a handful of Indian players, only Sumit Sapra qualified to make it to Day 2 of the ME. However, he exited the tournament in 16th place for a prize of KRW 1,985,000 (~INR 1.26 lakh) to record his first cash of the series.
