The 2018 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) has been a scintillating one so far this year, with plenty of new bracelet winners being crowned, while some winning for the second time. Among the bracelet events, there's just the Main Event waiting to find its winner, but other tournaments were also being played simultaneously.

One such tournament was the €100,000 LEON's High Roller and this turned out to be the final high roller tournament of the WSOP Europe series at the Kings Casino in Rozvadov. The tournament was hosted by casino owner Leon Tsoukernik himself and that's how the tournament got its name.

With such a high buy-in, you can expect only the best in the business to take part, and indeed, only the best global high-stakes pros were a part of the 33-entry field. It was a single-day event which lasted around 9 hours before Malaysia's Ivan Leow won himself the title and €1,251,455 (~INR 10.49 crore) in hard cash. While he didn't have any big prior cashes in the series, Leow churned up an impressive career-best 7-figure score.

He has been winning in plenty of Triton Events through this year, including the Short Deck Event in July (previous career best) and the Triton Super High Roller in Sochi in August, before going on to ship the WPT Korea Super High Roller last month. This win now continues his brilliant year in live poker, taking his career winnings past $5 million.

The victory put him past Paul Phua to reach #3 on Malaysia's all-time list. In heads-up, Leow beat local boy Martin Kabrhel who walked away with around €773k for finishing second, thus wrapping up an impressive series. Remember, he also won WSOPE Event #9: €100k Super High Roller.

Final table results:

  1. Ivan Leow - €1,251,455
  2. Martin Kabrhel - €773,457
  3. Michael Soyza - €521,471
  4. Tony G - €351,579
  5. Dominik Nitsche - €237,038
