Jake Schindler wins SHRPO High Roller title
The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open concluded on Tuesday night with their famous 'Big 4', where four final tables of different tournaments are played out simultaneously. One of those events was the SHRPO Championship Event, shipped by Brandon Eisen, after having beaten Jeremy Ausmus in heads-up. He took home a career best prize of $770k.
Another tournament was the $25,500 SHRPO High Roller which attracted 123 entries and created a prize pool of $3,136,500. Coming out on top of this field was popular pro and high-stakes specialist, Jake Schindler. He took home a prize of $800,758, which was just another addition to his career poker earnings, which is now nearly $21 million.
The best players from around the country registered to this high buy-in event and Schindler beat them all, including Shaun Deeb in heads-up, who walked away with $534,989 for second place. “It’s a combination of practice and luck. I got good cards, made mostly right decisions and it worked out,” he said after the victory.
Schindler has a history of good performances at this event in Florida, with a runners-up performance in the SHRPO $50K Super High Roller for $260,000 in August 2017 and a victory in the $100K Super High Roller for $570,375 in 2014. He also won a 2013 SHRPO NLHE event for $59,500.
