Jake Schindler Wins MILLIONS Barcelona SHR For €1,750,000
The partypoker Live MILLIONS is currently hosting the final stop of Season 1 in Casino Barcelona, with over €10 million in guaranteed prizes. The festival is taking place between 7th and 15th April 2018, and some of the top poker pros from around the world have been a part of the action so far.
Major results so far at the MILLIONS Grand Final include Andreas Eiler winning the first €25k Super High Roller, followed by Davidi Kitai winning the second €25 SHR, and then Canada's Sam Greenwood winning the €50k SHR and taking home €1 million. Players then hurried on to the €100k SHR, where a total of 48 entries were recorded, creating a massive €4,656,000 prize pool.?
Day 2 of the event began with 11 survivors battling it out and USA's Jake Schindler starting as chip leader. As play progressed, he kept his lead and eventually beat Stephen Chidwick in heads-up, for a massive payday of €1,750,000 for first-place. It was Schindler's third 7-digit score in live poker and his second highest live cash as well.
Prior to this, Schindler shipped a PCA High Roller tournament for $1,192,624 in 2014, came second in the 2017 Super High Roller Bowl for $3,600,000 and won plenty of other high roller tournaments as well. This massive win took Schindler's career live winnings over $17.5 million, coming as a result of a bluff gone wrong by UK's Chidwick. Have a look at final day action and Chidwick's bluff at the end, which turned out to be the final hand of the tournament:
Chidwick himself has had a great 2018 so far, winning back-to back titles at the inaugural US Poker Open, then winning the USPO Championship itself, getting his first million-dollar cash of $1,298,521 at the Super High Roller Bowl China and then this win, which became his career-best live cash. Chidwick himself has taken his career winnings past the $14 million mark!
