Prior to yesterday, 32 tournaments were hosted on Spartan Poker as part of the record-breaking India Online Poker Championship (IOPC), and all 32 had their guarantees passed. Yesterday was IOPC Day 7 and 5 more tournaments were scheduled, with the biggest tournament being Half Price INR 15 Lakh GTD, where the price of all re-buys was at 50% the original price. Keep reading for a complete summary of IOPC Day 7...

IOPC Event #33 INR 4 Lakh GTD

As usual, the day began with a smaller buy-in tournament, with each entry in the 825-entry field paying the buy-in of INR 550, taking the prize pool up to INR 4,12,500. The prizes were shared among the top 63 runners with a min-cash of INR 1,794 and the player to take home the top prize was 'thepokerbrat' who won the tournament and added INR 79,818 to his/her poker bankroll. The grind came to an end after a PFAI in the final hand, with both players hitting a pair of Fours on the board and thepokerbrat winning with K kicker. 'ritesh5812' finished 2nd in the tournament, bagging INR 50,325 as runner-up cash prize.

IOPC Event #34 INR 4 Lakh GTD

We got into the 34th tournament of the ongoing IOPC series on Spartan Poker and it became the first tournament of the series to miss out on the advertised amount, with a total field of 551 entries registering, slightly less than what was required. The top 39 players were paid out a min-cash of INR 2,760 and from them, 'Immortal killerr' turned out to be victorious, bagging the top prize of INR 80,200. The player has been good in this series so far, bagging his second title after he beat Siddharth Karia aka 'schemer77' here in heads-up, the latter also missing out on his second title of the series. It was an intense finish between these two players and eventually, Immortal killerr lodged a win while Karia had to settle for INR 53,320 for finishing second.

IOPC Event #35 INR 6 Lakh GTD

The buy-in as well as the guarantee of this tournament went up, with each entry in this 684-entry field paying the buy-in of INR 1,100, which inflated the prize pool up to INR 6.84 Lakh; this was then distributed among the top 55 places with a min-cash of INR 3,351. Taking the top spot and all fame and name from this tournament was 'Kingofking', a player who promised would reveal his/her identity after a couple of more significant wins. Here, Kingofking won INR 1,32,696 from the tournament prize pool and was the only player to receive a 6-figure pay-out. He/she beat 'bml2012' in heads-up, with the latter having to settle for INR 84,132 as runner-up prize.

IOPC Event #36 Half Price INR 15 Lakh GTD

As the name suggests, the tournament had a buy-in of INR 5,500 and all subsequent re-buys were available at 50% of the original price for all players. Meet Jariwala aka 'mjpokerfan' is clearly not just a fan of poker but is a good player too, as he powered through this field to win the top prize from the prize pool of INR 15,75,000. The top 20 players received a min-cash of INR 21,105 but as for Jariwala, he bagged nothing less than INR 3,78,000 for shipping the tournament and beating 'Bluff.me.not' in heads-up. The runner-up was also well rewarded with INR 2,56,725. In the final hand, Bluff.me.not shoved pre-flop with suited connectors and Jariwala called and revealed pocket Sevens, which went on to hit a Full House on the 7h 9d 2d 9s Ks board, ending the tournament in style!

IOPC Event #37 Hi-Fi INR 10 Lakh GTD

Hi-Fi has been the closing tournament on every day so far in the IOPC series. Here, it had a buy-in of INR 2,200 and considering the popularity of this tournament, it was no surprise that the guarantee was passed again and INR 11.52 Lakh was the new prize pool, which was soon shared by the top 47 players, each getting at least INR 6,566 for finishing in the money. Paras Jain plays as 'AAKKQQJJ' on Spartan Poker and he ended the night on a brilliant note, shipping Hi-Fi and adding a major amount of INR 2,24,524 to his poker bankroll. It's not the first time Jain has won a major title in online poker, once also winning an SSS title in November last year. Last night, he beat 'suminus' in heads-up and the runner-up claimed INR 1,42,617 for this run.
