Jaydeep Dawer takes down Summit on PPL Day 7
Premier League (PPL) organized by PokerBaazi is still on the roll and yesterday saw another set of tournaments lined-up to conclude on Day 7. With a series guarantee of INR 7 Crores, the event is gaining much success and the field is boosting with each passing day. Here is the complete summary of the tournaments…
PPL Event #31 DST INR 5 Lakhs GTD
The first tournament of Day 7 kept its door open and about 373 players (including 228 re-entries) entered the tournament to create a massive prize pool that was shared among the top players of the evening. Eventually, the field was topped by Indrish Arora aka ‘Godzilllaa66’ winning INR 1,13,565 as the first-place prize money.
PPL Event #32 6-Max INR 2 Lakhs GTD
With an assured prize pool of 2 Lakhs, the second tournament of the day wrapped up at 9:32 pm on PokerBaazi. A field of 452 players entered with a buy-in of INR 550. The top 45 places were paid with a minimum cash of INR 1,120. Yesterday saw the victory of Mukesh Surana aka ‘Guruuu’ who took home INR 42,000 as first-place prize money, beating ‘PapaNegreanu’ in the heads-up battle. ‘PapaNegreanu’ bagged INR 29,400.
PPL Event #33 4-Max DST Hyper INR 2 Lakhs GTD
With a buy-in for INR 1,100, the tournament saw 232 entries (including 107 re-entries). The competition drew a new prize pool of INR 2,32,000 to be distributed among the top 27 places with a minimum amount of INR 1,925. The tournament was championed by Imdad Ahmed aka ‘rahuljohn1983’ bagging INR 54,589. He beat ‘suhaibakhter’ managed to rest in the second position with INR 38,303.
PPL Event #34 The Summit MonsterStack INR 35 Lakhs GTD
A massive number of 583 players (including 266 re-entries) entered the tournament for a buy-in of INR 8,250. A new prize pool of INR 43,72,500 was drawn to be shared among the remaining 72 places. The second biggest tournament was impressive and saw the victory going to Jaydeep Dawer under the name ‘JDBhaiya’ taking home INR 8,26,402 as the first-place prize money. Eventually, the competition halted at 5:31 am and ‘nikita69QQ’ managed INR 5,79,356 as the runner-up prize. The winner Dawer has been around the poker industry since a few years and this was a welcome online victory for him.
PPL Event #35 HighRoller 6-Max INR 70 Lakhs GTD
The biggest event of the previous night was guaranteeing INR 70 Lakhs which saw participation from a total of 271 entries (including 92 re-entries), each entering the event for a massive buy-in of INR 27,500. Puneet Dua aka ‘neo1’ progresses with 27,52,567 chips and is the current chip leader. The final table will resume at the PokerBaazi Live poker room in Casino Pride 2, Goa on October 7th at 5 pm.
Other notable players to receive a paycheck were Nadeem Basha aka ‘SpadeHunter’ (9th , INR 1,54,700), Arjun Kocchar aka ‘Smoothie12’ (10th, INR 1,12,700), Vaibhav Saigal aka ‘durrrr1310’ (12th , INR 1,27,700), Rajat Sharma aka ‘LungFakeer’ (13th, INR 92,400), Raghav Bansal aka ‘thatssosick’ (14th, INR 92,400), Rubin Labroo aka ‘kornkid’ (16th, INR 79,100), Sandeep Varma aka’ effuno’ (22nd, INR 61,600), Guneet Kwatra aka ‘guntz’ (29th, INR 47,600) and so on.
