In early February 2019, Jeff Gross, one of the celebrity pros in the scene decided to quit his relationship with the poker giant PokerStars and announced the same in a video. Recently, partypoker’s Team Online was recruiting members in quick succession and Gross too decided to join the Team.

Gross has over $3 million in live cashes. He is also a CardsChat ambassador, having been inducted in it last year. His reason for departure from PokerStars was stated as a conflict of interest but its surprising to see him join another poker company in no time. Gross is a popular Twitch streamer on his channel PokerFlowShow. He has over 56k followers on his channel and has been streaming for a few years and regularly hosts other poker and life content via his YouTube channel which has over 25k subscribers.

Gross has also recently been heavily involved in Thirst Lounge stream reboot, a project he embarked along with Bill Perkins, the channel’s owner and fellow streamer and former PokerStars Pro Jaime Staples. When the channel was seeking an online poker site to sponsor the stream, partypoker hopped on immediately. It will also come as no surprise if Jaime Staples signs on to partypoker as well. His brother Matt is one of the first additions to Team Online already. Jeff Gross made a twitter announcement about this newly formed relationship:

Gross will now join Matt Staples, Hristivoje Pavlovic, Travis Darroch, Patrick Tardif, Alan Widmann, Ryan Schoonbaert, Courtney Gee, Steven Kok and Monika Zukowicz (who joined recently along with Gross) as the 10th member of partypoker Team Online.

Monika Zukowicz was also added to the team along with Gross. She hails from Poland and is a Twitch streamer herself. She now lives in Malta and successfully juggles her time playing poker and studying for her university. The 27-year old is focussed on cash games but has travelled over the world, cashing in high profile tournaments such as Irish Poker Open and MPN Poker Tour. Here is her Twitch channel.

partypoker Team Online is now 10 member-strong, with everyone in the team being strong Twitch personalities. They will all be on the orange bandwagon soon, showcasing the partypoker patch and merchandise on their twitch streams. partypoker already boasts heavyweights like Mike Sexton, Isaac Haxton, Germany’s 1st on All Time Money List Fedor Holz, Mikita Badziakouski, etc. and will increasingly strengthen its presence on online felts too, with Team Online.

This isn't the first time we've seen someone leaving PokerStars and joining partypoker, and it may not be the last too. Keep reading for more such news from the community as well as for general poker news from around the world.
