Event #43: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet

It has been a brilliant story all along for this player, who won his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet in 2016. He has only have around $3 million in live tournament cashes but he has joined an elite group of legendary poker players to have won bracelets in four successive years at the WSOP in Las Vegas.

We're talking about Loren Klein who has won a bracelet in every year since 2016, becoming only the third after Bill Boyd and Doyle Brunson to do so. Here, he beat a field of 218 entries and made a comeback from being the shortest stacked on the Final Table to win the tournament and bag $127,808 in prize money, along with his fourth bracelet.

Given the mixed big bet format, the FT was an all-American one where Klein found himself pitted against Ryan Hughes in heads-up. The final hand came in a PLO Hi-Lo hand and Hughes ended on the losing side, pocketing $78k for second place. If you remember well, Klein bagged the $10k PLO Championship in WSOP 2018.

Final Table Results:

  1. Loren Klein - $127,808
  2. Ryan Hughes - $78,985
  3. Phil Hui - $51,346
  4. Arthur Morris - $34,328
  5. Joey Couden - $23,622
  6. Jonathan Depa - $16,746
  7. Mike Sexton - $12,240
