The 2018 World Series of Poker has been a good one for our professional and budding Indian poker pros, with the likes of Aditya Agarwal, Nishant Sharma, Raghav Bansal, Paawan Bansal, Akash Malik, Nikita Luther and others cashing out in various tournaments so far.

One particular player who has been having a ball of a time in Las Vegas so far is Paawan Bansal. He created headlines a couple of weeks back by finishing 13th in the WSOP Colossus Event for a cash of $35,087. He then finished 74th in the Double Stack Event for $6,803 and most recently, finished 30th in the $2.5k NLHE Event for $12,345.

Bansal reached Day 2 of the event, along with India's Aditya 'Bitti' Agarwal, but only Bansal made it through to Day 3, keeping up India's hopes of bringing home a WSOP gold bracelet this year. Aditya Sushant was the man who created history last year, winning India's first WSOP bracelet.

Bansal busted in 30th on Day 3, playing a tough field that had 4 previous bracelet winners, including 6-time bracelet winner Chris Ferguson. Bansal now has cashes worth over $54,000 at WSOP 2018 and with quite a few tournaments still to be played, we're highly hopeful of him bringing back a gold bracelet. The tournament was ultimately shipped by Israel's Timur Margolin.

He will also be someone to watch out for in the Main Event, as he cashed out in 124th place in the 2017 WSOP Main Event, for a massive payday of $53,247, which is his career best till date. He had only 2 cashes last year and seems to be on a better run in the 2018 series. Gutshot wishes Bansal the best of luck in winning his maiden WSOP bracelet in the tournaments to come.
