partypoker website relaunches in Czech Republic
partypoker, one of the brands that’s already in the tops when it comes to worldwide poker, but which has created some major headlines in recent times, has relaunched its website in the European country of Czech Republic.
partypoker posted a blog post on its site mentioning that it has partnered with King’s Resort of Czech Republic to acquire an online gaming license in the country. It is now only one of two operators to have acquired a Czech gaming license.
This move will enable Czech citizens to play on partypoker’s 'global liquidity dotcom poker games' via its desktop software client, with games due to be rolled out across mobile soon. Currently, all players who wish to play online are required to undergo a physical ID verification at one of the country’s post offices. This will soon be offered at Kings Casino, which is situated in Rozvadov.
To commemorate this partnership, Kings will also host a series of live events at its casino including the inaugural €110 buy-in Czech Poker Masters featuring a €552k GTD Main Event from 14-22 April 2019. There will also be online starting days for this event to be hosted on the partypoker platform.
Tom Waters, Managing Director of partypoker said, “We are delighted to be working with King’s Resort to offer online poker in the Czech Republic. We have some ambitious and exciting plans for 2019 in partnership with King’s and there will be plenty on offer for Czech players at partypoker. We look forward to announcing a host of launch promotions and events, alongside details of our product offering in the coming weeks.”
King’s Resort owner Leon Tsoukernik also weighed in on this development saying, “It is a great honour to co-operate on such an interesting project with such an important partner on a global level for us. We will be able to offer players great connection between the online and live game to maximize their gaming experience. This renewed partnership with partypoker further consolidates our position as a major player in the global poker industry and represents another step forward in our commitment to players.”
King’s Resort is home to Europe’s largest poker room and regularly hosts some of the biggest events in the world alongside brands like WSOPE, WPT and partypoker LIVE MILLIONS. The Indian Poker Series (TIPS) is also one (relatively lower buy-in) series that’s currently running at the Casino, which is expected to produce a large Indian contingent.
Another good thing about this development is that Czech players will now enjoy a range of exclusive partypoker promotions and take advantage of up to 25% cash back. partypoker also plans to launch its top tier ‘Diamond Club Elite’ VIP offering in the country soon. partypoker also recently introduced Team Online and hopes to increase its presence online.
