Poker Central set to host Australian Poker Open and SHRB

Poker Central has big revelations coming your way within a month! The year 2020 is scheduled with outstanding flagship festivals and this time with Australia on its list too. The country’s Star Gold Coast in Queensland is geared up to host two huge tournaments being organized with the prestigious World Poker Tour (WPT) to make its debut run.

Ever since 2017, Poker Central has endeavoured to host events in various international locations and now, the brand is looking forward to hitting the coast of Australia with a couple of tournament series, Australian Poker Open and the Super High Roller Bowl.

The Australian Poker Open will mark its 9th stop and is rightly timed after the Aussie Millions. The series is scheduled from 25 Jan - 1 Feb comprising of 7 events including NLHE, PLO and Short Deck events ranging from a buy-in of $10k to $100k. Players will earn points throughout the series and the top contenders will be rewarded with the first-ever Australian Poker Open trophy along with AUD 50,000.

  • January 25th: Event 1 – Australian Poker Open $10k NLHE
  • January 26th: Event 2 – Australian Poker Open $10k PLO
  • January 27th: Event 3 – Australian Poker Open $10k NLHE
  • January 28th: Event 4 – Australian Poker Open $25k PLO
  • January 29th: Event 5 – Australian Poker Open $25k NLHE
  • January 30th: Event 6 – Australian Poker Open $50k NLHE
  • January 31st: Event 7 – Australian Poker Open $100k NLHE

Immediately after the Australian Poker Open on 2 FebRUARY is the single tournament, Super High Roller Bowl (SHRB) Australia, a three-day run that features a $250k buy-in. Both stops will be streamed live on PokerGO. The SHRB has had a few runs in Las Vegas, one in China, one in London, one in Bahamas and this will be be its first edition in Australia. The most recent SHRB was won by Daniel Dvoress last month.
