Raghav Bansal finishes 21st in WSOP Millionaire Maker
There's a good attendance of Indian players at this year's World Series of Poker at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas. A week back, top Indian pro Paawan Bansal made headlines for finishing 13th in the WSOP 2018 Colossus Event, which was a brilliant effort given that the tournament saw a humongous field of 13,070 entries.
Now, it was Raghav Bansal’s turn to steal the limelight. He finished Day 2 of Event #21 as one of the chip leaders, from among over 7,300 entries. India's hopes of a WSOP bracelet were high as he made a great run on Day 3 too, fighting it out among the final 164 survivors. However, he was eliminated in 21st position by Ralph Massey and Richard Dixon, picking up $40,898 (~INR 27.64 lakh) for this massive effort.
With quite a few major events left at the 2018 WSOP, we're expecting Raghav Bansal to make a few more deep runs and probably go all the way to get a bracelet as well. In Event #24: $2,620 The Marathon, two Indians made Day 2, with Anil Adiani and Paawan Bansal both in sight of finishing in the money. 246 players will be paid out a minimum cash of $3,860, from the total of 1637 entries.
Eventually, 17 survivors made it to the end of Day 3 of the Millionaire Maker event, including 2-time bracelet winner Joe McKeehen and German pro Manig Loeser; USA's Chad Hahn is heading the chip counts. As the name suggests, one of these final 17 players will be made a millionaire, playing for the top prize of $1,173,223.

- Chad Hahn - 6,525,000
