Siddharth Mundada leads 5 Indians into Monster Stack Day 3
What a day it was for Team India at the 2019 World Series of Poker (WSOP). After a couple of starting flights, we had a number of Indian players progressing to Day 2 of Event #50: Monster Stack - $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em at Rio All Suites Hotel, and some of them even managed to survive the day and move on to Day 3.
The massive field of 6,035 entries has now boiled down to just 457 players by the end of 10 level of play on Day 2. Among them are 5 Indians led by Siddharth Mundada. On his first trip to Vegas, Mundada has already got 3 cashes and is set to get the biggest one of his career in this tournament.
He progresses with a monster stack of 1,395,000 chips in this Monster Stack Event, having done well to get here as he began the day with a below-average stack of 94,200. He's followed by Nishant Sharma (1,039,000 chips), Vivek Rughani (455,000 chips), Adda52 Celebrity Pro Minissha Lamba (391,000 chips), and Romit Advani (292,000 chips).
Of them, Mundada and Sharma have great chances of making a deep run on Day 3 as they have strong stacks to play with. All of them are guaranteed a minimum prize of $3,534 for 457th place but no one really wants the small prizes. They will all have their eyes on the top prize of $1,008,850 and a shiny WSOP gold bracelet.
Other Indians to cash during the day were bracelet winner Aditya Sushant (624th for $2,705) and Adda52 Pro Kunal Patni (890th for $2,249). At the moment, USA's Kainalu McCue-Unciano holds the chip lead being one of only two players to cross the 2-million mark. Plenty of bracelet winners are also in the field including Joe Cada, Mark Radoja, Alexandru Papazian and others.
Day 2 top 10 chip counts:
- Kainalu McCue-Unciano - 2,187,000
- Andrew Moreno - 2,034,000
- Brady Bullard - 1,971,000
