SSS Event #32 INR 40k GTD
The day began on a smaller note with the first tournament having a buy-in of just INR 110. The field consisted of 195 entries plus re-buys which meant that the guarantee was passed again. 27 players shared the prize pool with a min-cash of INR 438 but the player to take away the biggest prize of the day was Shubham Gupta who plays as 'FieryMarty' on Spartan Poker. He beat 'Tam Cha' in heads-up to pocket winnings of INR 9,702, with Eights prevailing over Threes in the final hand. Tam Cha won INR 6,548. Talking about the tournament, Gupta said, "It was fun and challenging. I would like to thank Spartan Poker for creating such a nice interface and allowing budding poker players to learn the game."
SSS Event #33 INR 50k GTD
This knockout tournament had a buy-in of INR 220 and once you busted, there was no coming back. 187 entries registered to break the guarantee and the top 27 of them received pay-outs of at least INR 528. As for Ashish Mudgil aka 'Krazy8', he didn't worry about getting busted as he had eyes only on the top prize of the tournament. Beating 'Khanijo' in heads-up, Mudgil earned INR 11,695 for winning this SSS title, while the runner-up had to settle for INR 7,894. The final hand saw Mudgil's Th Kd improving to Kings and Tens as he shipped his first SSS title on Spartan.
SSS Event #34 INR 2 Lakh GTD
INR 550 was the buy-in to the third tournament of the day which naturally attracted better players capable of investing more in the game of poker. 241 entries + re-buys meant the guarantee was passed once again and the spoils were shared among the top 31 players with a min-cash of INR 1,848. The winner turned out to be Shaan Kalwani aka 'shaankalwani', winning INR 44,415 after beating 'pokerdivine' in heads-up. The players were nearly identical in chips before the final hand, where a pair of Aces beat a pair of Kings and pokerdivine had to settle for INR 29,904 as runner-up prize. Talking about the experience, Kalwani said, "It was a game of patience since the field was quite conservative. However, when it reached heads-up, we both played quite aggressively and in the end, I just had the better hand."
SSS Event #35 Mini Main Event INR 10 Lakh GTD
Since this was supposed to be a series for the high-stakes as well as low-stakes grinders, Spartan Poker hosted a Mini ME before the main attraction kicked off later in the day. Here, 306 entries joined + re-buys and each paid a buy-in of INR 2,200 which led to the guarantee being passed pretty easily. Only the top 39 places were paid with a min-cash of INR 7,383 but the winner 'THEDONKKID' won a massive prize of INR 2,14,535 which was the biggest of the day so far on Spartan. 'yomamafat' was the player who lost in heads-up, bagging a healthy prize of INR 1,42,631 himself/herself. A pair of Sixes is all it took to win the final hand of the tournament.
SSS Event #38 Big Daddy INR 6 Lakh GTD
After the ME and Sunday SuperStack kicked off, Big Daddy also began with a buy-in of INR 1,650. The re-entry tournament saw a field of 344 entries and from them, the top 31 were paid out - minimum of INR 5,280. Chakradhar Reddy emerged as winner of this tournament that lasted nearly 5 hours and ended at 2:58am this morning. The player plays as 'reddiered07' on Spartan Poker and bagged the top prize of INR 1,26,900 after beating Parikshit Dhall aka 'zapdos1311' in heads-up. Dhall has been enjoying a good run himself in recent times but couldn't win here, bagging INR 85,440 as runner-up cash prize. About the win, Reddy said, "SSS is very encouraging with low buy-ins to begin with. I like the traffic on Spartan and yesterday was my biggest win across all Indian sites."
