Triton SHR's July edition at Jeju, South Korea
The Triton Super High Roller Series just won't stop with its news making. We recently brought you updates about their ongoing highroller series and on going cash game action which is taking place in Montenegro right now. Late on Friday evening, Triton released a teaser video about where the tour was headed next - Jeju, South Korea.
The Triton series was set up by Richard Yong, a Malaysian businessman and high stakes player with the intent to hist the world's biggest buy-in tournament series and cash games. From destinations like the Manila in the Philippines to Montenegro in Europe to Asian hotspot Macau, the series attracts the absolute top names from the world of poker. Tom Dwan has been a regular face in these games as has been Phil Ivey, Dan Cates, Paul Phua and many others.
With such nosebleed stakes on the line, why not do it in exotic locations around the world?! The elite tournament series heads into the East with Jeju being its next stop. And what a lovely stop it is. Jeju is the largest island in South Korea and one of its most beautiful tourist spots. Primarily popular as a honeymoon destination, Jeju in recent years has built a number of casino resorts which also play host to events like Triton and other regional tours like the Asian Poker Tour and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour.
There are limited details released about the upcoming series which is slated for 23-31 July and the setting will be the Landing Casino in Jeju. Those afore-mentioned famous pros are certain to make an appearance and maybe even others.
