The European Poker Tour (EPT) currently has a stop in the city of Barcelona and after a few side events, most of the focus has shifted to the €5,300 buy-in Main Event at Casino Barcelona, where an EPT record of 1,931 entries was recorded to create a massive prize pool of €9,365,350.

After a couple of days of starting flights and at the end of the official Day 2 of play, a total of 259 players have bagged their chips to return on Day 3 and continue to battle it out for that prize of €1,611,500 (~INR 13.33 crore) which has been set aside for that one player who manages to come on top of this massive field.

The top 296 players will share this prize pool with a minimum cash prize of €8,150 and when players hit the felts later today, the pay-outs will resume at €8,900 for 259th place. Bagging the chip lead at the end of Day 2 is Canada's Ben Wilinofsky, who has 850,000 chips, and was also the chip leader at the end of Day 1a.

5 Indians were among the hundreds who reached Day 2 of the tournament, but unfortunately, most of them busted their stacks during the day's play. The only Indian still in play in the prestigious EPT Main Event at the moment is Kunal Punjwani, who currently has 232,000 in chips. Patrik Antonius (310,000), Viktor "Isildur1" Blom (50,000), Shaun Deeb (363,000), Niall Farrell (220,000), and PokerStars Team Pro Jaime Staples (196,000) are other top pros still in the mix.
