WSOPE: Simon Burns leads Day 1F of Colossus

Yesterday was the busiest of all flights; after all, this is the final bracelet event in the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE). Event #15: €550 Colossus completed Day 1F at King’s Casino, Rozvadov and it is not surprising that the evening was jammed with numerous poker pros, showcasing the best of their skills.

The day started with a significant growth in the field, and the tournament registered another set of 341 entries, almost double of what was witnessed on Day 1E. The field eventually narrowed down to the remaining 40 progressing to Day 2. Each player was seen putting efforts and struggling to make the best of the opportunity to grab the prestigious bracelet. Topping this massive number of entries was Simon Burns bagging the biggest stack of 635,000 chips who has already accumulated $1 million in live cashes. Burns is closely followed by Pave Kellner with 437,000 and Mick Heder third in the list with 396,000 chips.

The real interest lied in watching the bracelet winners, Shaun Deeb, Robert Campbell and Daniel Negreanu fighting neck to neck to grab their next title. But fate was in favour of Deeb while the 6-time bracelet winner and Campbell ended their journey. Other notable players who gave a shot but couldn’t progress through to Day 2 include Indian duo Pulkit Goyal and Tarun Goyal and so on.
