108 players progress to DPT Main Event Day 2


Three starting flights were scheduled for the prestigious Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) Main Event. Earlier, we reported 31 players progressing from Day 1A of the tournament, with M Khan ending as the chip leader. Yesterday, Day 1B kicked off at 2pm, while Day 1C Turbo began at 9pm.

Some of the top names in Indian poker were in attendance across all starting flights, and a total of 108 players managed to bag their chips to progress to Day 2 which will be played later today. 41 players survived Day 1B out of the total field of 114 entries, and it wasn’t a surprise to see Nikita Luther ending as the chip leader with a massive stack of 209,500.

She’s on a brilliant run at the moment, winning the INR 15k Deep Dive tournament a couple of days back, and she’ll be looking for another victory when she resumes on Day 2. Some other top names progressing from this flight include Sajal Gupta, Gaurav Kalra, Siddarth Singhvi, Sumit Sapra (103,500), defending champion Awnish Singh (83,500), Ashish Munot (81,600), Rubin Labroo (61,000), Kavish Kukreja (51,000), and Meherzad Munsaf (51,000).

  1. Nikita Luther – 209,500
  2. T Praveen – 194,000
  3. Sajal Gupta – 185,500
  4. Sudhir Agarwal – 170,500
  5. Deepak Singh – 153,500
  6. Gaurav Kalra – 147,000
  7. Ankit Kapoor – 123,000
  8. Jayadeep S – 122,000
  9. Yasheel Doddanava – 113,500
  10. Siddarth Singhvi – 108,500

Later in the day, 81 entries registered through the final flight, with the total field going up to 286 entries. From this field, 36 got a bag at the end of the night, with Sriram Maniam ending as the chip leader.
