5 Indians make WSOP Main Event Day 2

The prestigious Main Event has begun at the 2018 World Series of Poker, and there will be three days of starting flights to register to the $10,000 tournament. Thousands of players have entered the tournament already and after Aditya Sushant and Rohan Dhawan progressed from Day 1A, several Indians made it through from Day 1B as well.

659 survivors progressed from Day 1A and the field of entries doubled on Day 1B, with over 2,000 registrations being made and a little under 1,800 hopefuls going through. Of this, Indians Kavin ShahDharmesh PatelAmit JainRishab Jain and Bobbe Suri will also progress to the second day.

French poker player Smain Mamouni led the chip stacks at the end of Day 1B, with 311,000 chips. From the Indian contingent at the Main Event, Dharmesh Patel progressed with the biggest chip stack (128,500), while Kavin Shah had the next best stack of 104,400, after a good run in a recent MSPT eventRishabh Jain (97,600), Amit Jain (53,000) and Jaswinder ‘Bobbe’ Suri (12,400) are still among the mix.

A total of seven Indian survivors have gone through to Day 2 of the Main Event and we can expect a few more as the third starting flight is on at the moment. The big Indian names who have been regularly cashing out in the 2018 WSOP are still not in the news, but we can expect them to buy-in today.

The winner of Event #65: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em MAIN EVENT – World Championship will walk away with a life-changing prize amount. Will one of our Indian players be able to make a deep run and probably even walk away as a WSOP Champion? Keep reading GutshotMagazine.com for daily updates!
