Ankur Sehgal takes down Mega Stack on Spartan

Yesterday was all about Mega Stack INR 17 Lakhs GTD at Spartan Poker and as usual, there were some regular faces in contention. The last man standing in the tournament was none other than Ankur Sehgal playing as ‘Crimemastergogo’ who powered through the field to take home the biggest share of the prize money. Every Tuesday’s featured tournament is the Mega Stack hosted at the virtual felts of Spartan Poker enticing poker enthusiasts to enter and win big.

By the end of the registration, we had a total of 303 players entering for a buy-in of INR 3,300. The guaranteed amount was surpassed and INR 19 Lakhs in prize pool was collected to be shared among the top 63 finishers, all of whom received minimum cash of INR 8,286. Sehgal took on ‘IwillShovE’ in the heads-up battle. In Level #52, (100,000/200,000 ante 18,000) and in pre-flop action, ‘IwillShovE’ went all-in with his 8s Qd. Sehgal decides to make a call showing his Kd Qh. The board had 5h As 9d 3d Jd and with that simple and quick showdown, Sehgal was declared the winner collected the win with Ace high and King kicker.

Sehgal is not a new name in Spartan tournaments, he is also a frequent face playing across various sites and this win will also add a significant amount to his poker bankroll. His last recorded live score was INR 35,000 Main Event, Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT), Panjim, to cash out a pretty good amount of INR 8,66,000.

This October has proved to be special for poker players as Spartan is hosting a variety of tournaments guaranteeing more than INR 15 Crore in prize pools. Tonight’s featured tournament is Head-Hunter INR 10 Lakhs GTD for a buy-in of INR 5,500.
