APT Online: ‘BakedSand’, ‘juanson’, ‘Paranoid Android’ win big!


With an extensive schedule to keep the poker players from all over the world busy through the festival, Asian Poker Tour (APT) Online Series is hosting over 200 events in the 2nd edition. The series opened on 14 June and will run until 28 June on Asian poker room Natural8. Day 3 of the festival and the biggest winners were Monster Stack champ ‘BakedSand’ and High Roller champ ‘Paranoid Android’.

Event 18: $200 Monster Stack $100K GTD

The buy-in to Event #18 was $200 which clocked in 602 entries across five flights. This surpassed the guarantee for a sweeter $110,768 in prize pool. The final day saw 199 survivors taking their seats out of which the top 89 players finishing in the money. Under four hours, the champion emerged after the players struck a 3-way deal. It was ‘BakedSand’ who prevailed and earned $16,107 in top prize.

Event 39: $500 buy-in High Roller Deep Stack $50K GTD

A total of 145 hopefuls registered in High Roller Deep Stack on Natural8, collecting a final prize pool of $68,875. Riding past the field to capture the prize money was ‘juanson’ who knocked out ‘GTRyoo’ in heads-up and pocketed the first-place cash prize of $14,205 while the latter banked $10,826 for finishing second.

The biggest winner of the day was ‘Paranoid Android’ who took down High Roller Event 42 for $18,201 in prize money, becoming the biggest champion of the day. The tournament gathered 77 entries and the top 11 players finished in the money. The winner railed out ‘airbnb’ in heads-up who secured the runner-up position for $13,865.
