Asian Poker Tour (APT) Philippines II 2019 is taking place is Resorts World Manila’s new Grand Wing, advancing with another eventful day. A fantastic destination, the tournament has witnessed a record-breaking total entry of 515 players at the Main Event.
Owing to the largest gather seen in the current APT tournament, officially the event has surpassed the previous record of 503 entries. With buy-in at PHP 55,000 (~INR 75,000), the prize pool ballooned to an ambitious amount of PHP 24,977,500.
After the scheduled 9 levels of the play, Day 1A progressed with 157 players making a total of 219 players to start Day 2 Main Event. The eventual winner will become PHP 5,185,500 (~INR 70 Lakhs) richer.
Day 2 registered 54 new entries which eventually narrowed down to 66 remaining players progressing to Day 3 of the Main Event. Topping the second flight was Korean’s Sim Jae Kyung aka ‘Simba’ shipping 552k chips.
Indian contenders progressing from Day 1A and Day 1B, Jaideep Sajwan and Akshay Nasa, respectively managed to get through the event to observe the Day 2. Nasa had to end his journey and Sajwan (currently at 49th position), the sole Indian contender is heading towards Day 3.

The event is heating-up with only 66 remaining players on Day 2. The ambitious prize pool attracted numerous poker participants around the world. The upcoming Day 3 is all geared up to meet the remaining on Monday, September 16th for Day 3 at 1 pm local time.
