APT Vietnam: Akshay Nasa finishes 2nd in High Rollers

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Vietnam has come to an end. The 12-day long journey witnessed plenty of champs from around the world, bringing trophies to their home countries. Especially for the Indian viewers, the 2019 APT Vietnam has been a fabulous voyage. Stepping onto new ventures and finishing with marvelous wins, that’s all our representatives went through this week.

Unforgettable has been the APT Main Event VND 8 billion GTD ride with Akshay Nasa’s epic run adding flair to the series. For Nasa, the thrill did not end there. He entered Event #19 High Rollers and made a deep run there too. This one-day tournament enticed 18 players in total, who entered for a huge buy-in of VND 65 million, and only the top 3-players received a payout.

The 2019 APT Taiwan High Rollers Single Day champion, Korea’s Soo Jo Kim (picture above) triumphed the 19^th event, pocketing VND 400 million. India’s Akshay Nasa settled for an impressive runner-up position while sprinting to fetch his second title of the series. Nasa added an amount of VND 347,000,000 (~INR 10.76 Lakhs) to his bankroll.

Final Results:

1. Soo Jo Kim – VND 400,000,000
2. Akshay Nasa – VND 347,600,000
3. Lau King Lun Alan – VND 300,000,000

Nasa, a terrific grinder, showcased his poker skills and also finished 3^rd in the Player of the Series race with an outstanding 802.23 points. However, it was Championships Event winner and Main Event runner-up Vincent Chauve who excelled in the POS race with 1,065.83 points.

This marked an end to the 2019 APT Vietnam which was APT’s third stop in this country this year. The Pro Poker Club attracted over 490 players representing 40 different nations. The year will close with the last event being APT Finale Taiwan 2019 which is scheduled to take place from 28 November to 9 December at the CTP Club.
