Asian Poker Tour releases 2019 season schedule

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) keeps getting bigger and better with every passing year. Recently, the company released the entire schedule for their 2019 season online. Vietnam just made its debut in the 2018 season, and the 2019 APT season will see Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, playing host to the opening event for a second consecutive year.

A total of 11 stops have been announced by APT, with 8 confirmed and the rest to be confirmed in coming weeks/months. The current eight stops include two stops each at Vietnam, Korea, Philippines and Macau, including the season-ending APT Finale Macau, scheduled between 4-15 December 2019.

The current season of APT has been quite a success and the amount of Indian participation is set to increase in the 2019 season, with APT recently partnering with Baadshah Gaming, to give away APT packages to Indian players. Currently, the APT Korea Championships is being played, with Iori Yogo of Japan recently shipping the Main Event.

“We are releasing our event dates so players can start planning ahead of time and other tournament organizers can start setting their dates to avoid unnecessary overlaps. Most organisers keep to the informal gentleman’s agreement that in Asia poker events should not clash thereby giving players at all levels the opportunity to play the maximum number of poker tournaments which can only be good for the continued growth of the sport,” said Lloyd Fontillas, APT General Manager and Executive Tournament Director.

List of announced events:

  1. APT Kickoff Vietnam Ho Chi Minh:  9-20 January
  2. TBA: 20 February-3 March
