Ayush Garg ships Sunday Stacks 15L GTD yesterday


9stacks is a rapidly-growing company in the Indian online poker scene that regularly hosts plenty of exciting tournaments, series, promotions for its loyal user base. Their Prime Time Leaderboard Challenge and the Happy New Year Series were among the recent ones to be seen on their site.

Sunday on 9stacks sees its biggest weekly tournament, the Sunday Stack INR 15 Lakhs GTD being hosted. The tournament always attracts a lot of players every week and is often one of the highlights among Sunday tournaments.

Yesterday’s Sunday Stacks attracted a total of 214 entries (including 50 re-buys). The buy-in of INR 5,500 was chipped in by the field and top 25 positions were paid in the tournament with a min-cash of INR 13.5k. The tournament ran for exactly 5 hours, starting at 8 pm ending at 1 am today morning.

Ayush Garg aka ‘lazyman’ won the tournament for an awesome amount of INR 3,82,500 as 1st place cash prize. He beat ‘BigBetMix’ in heads-up to secure his victory on 9stacks. The latter had to settle for INR 2,62,500 as the 2nd place cash prize.

Garg previously has a significant win on 9stacks. He won the Merry Stacks for INR 2.55 Lakhs which was hosted on 25th December last year, as part of Christmas celebrations. He beat a field of 239 entries in the Merry Stacks to claim his 1st prize.

The champion, Garg, is a fairly known player in the circuit and has played online and live as well. Beginning in 2017, he finished 23rd in the WPT India Superstack. Another one of his finishes was at the 2018 WPT India Superstack event held recently in Goa, finishing 12th for INR 1,49,500. In the same series, he finished 72nd in the Main Event, where Nikunj Jhunjhunwala came 1st. He will be looking forward to play in more upcoming exciting range of tournaments lined-up using his welcome bankroll addition.

Some of the pros who ranked in the money last night include Sanjay Taneja aka ‘WereWolf’ (8th – INR 41,250), Sajjan Barnwal aka ‘SAJJAN0007’ (9th – INR 33,750) Chandni Malik aka ‘maidumji’ (15th – INR 18,000) and Neel Joshi aka ‘Worm33’ (20th – INR 15,000).
