Bilzerian claims Bellande knew high-stakes poker game was rigged

A few days ago, Gutshot mentioned about major cheating allegations Jean in the Poker industry. The alleged culprit this time was  Jean-Robert Bellande, the American Poker pro, nightclub owner and promoter. The high-stakes host, Bellande has taken flak for organizing a private game and staking multiple participants without the knowledge of other players at the table.

Bellande tweeted about having a rough week, losing more than $400,000 and his friend Dan Bilzerian calling him a ‘cheat’. The controversy blew up on social media when Bellande shared screenshots of his conversations with his friend Dan Bilzerian, who accused him of staking two players in the same game he hosted, without properly informing the other participants.

The recent update in the case is that Dan Bilzerian claims that Jean-Robert Bellande knew a big money Vegas cash game was rigged, though Bill Perkins has apparently absolved JRB of wrongdoing. As Bellande had earlier mentioned that he was upset about Bilzerian accused him of cheating, the latter thought to be referring to JRB staking two or more players in the game. Bilzerian is a regular at games arranged by Bellande, and the story was blown wide open again.

Bill Perkins revealed that Bilzerian was at the thought of being cheated by a friend. Perkins added that Bellande was under suspicion where he tweeted that, ‘This is not to call JRB a cheat to clarify.’

Perkins also previously shocked the poker community when he tweeted about a ghosting scandal taking place in online cash games. The player he was referring to was later identified by Dan Bilzerian and turned out to be Dan ‘Jungleman’ Cates. In the previous scandal, Dan Cates was ghosting the account of Sina Taleb, a rich amateur, on the FunOcean poker app. Perkins was incensed at that situation, though he received an apology from Jungleman.
