China’s Huahuan Feng wins biggest ever WSOP tournament!

The heat of 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online continues on GGNetwork. It was a fabulous day with several massive guarantee tournaments coming to an end. The star performer was China’s Huahuan ‘F7588’ Feng who outlasted a giant field of 44,576 entries to win the WSOP Event #71: BIG 50. And here is a complete summary of the winners…

WSOP Event #69: $1,500 Marathon No Limit Hold’em

The 69th event of 2020 WSOP clocked in 1,438 entries, which resulted in the creation of $2.04 million prize pool. Capturing his first ever bracelet was Nick ‘rdcrsn’ Maimone who knocked out Brazil’s Diego ‘JaxTeller’ Bittar in heads-up play. The champion rose to power to collect a hefty $302,472 top prize along with the WSOP Europe package valued at $15,000!

Maimone has over $2.1 million in live cashes according to The Hendon Mob. The winner picked up his best live score of almost $1 million in 2016 PCA 8-Handed Turbo Bounty. Talking about WSOP, the American player has reached almost $1 million mark in WSOP related cashes including $633,022 for finishing 15th in 2009 WSOP Main Event.

Boasting $10 million GTD, the WSOP Event #70 NLH POKER PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP garnered a field of 407 players. Day 1 ended with 9 players progressing further to battle for $1.80 million prize money. These players will return on 29 August at 6 pm UTC. It took several hours for poker pro Jason Koon to reach to the top with 7,863,055 in chips. Shankar Pillai followed next with 6,875,234 chips and Germany’s Christian Rudolph bagging 5,544,188 chips.

Money reached the top 55 players and several notable names like Davidi Kitai (54th, $57,592), James Chen (52nd, $57,592), Seth Davies (43rd, $70,150), David Peters (32nd, $70,150), Hun Wei Lee (30th, $70,150), Chris Ferguson (21st, $85,446), Scott Seiver (15th, $104,078). India’s 4th bracelet winner ‘Mandovi’ finished 44th for $70,150 (~INR 51.91 Lakhs).

WSOP Event #71: BIG 50, $1M GTD

The WSOP #71 wasn’t just big, it was the biggest-ever field in the history of World Series of Poker (WSOP). Accumulating $2.05 million in prize pool, the tourney registered a monstrous 44,576 in total entries. Conquering the day was China’s Huahuan ‘F7588’ Feng who claimed $211,282 in top prize along with a package to WSOP Europe. Feng railed out his countrymate Xue qiao ‘whattfboys’ Zhao in heads-up play.

This win marked Feng’s seventh WSOP cash in the ongoing series. The champion has $391,307 in lifetime winnings and with this title he has eclipsed his previous best of $176,985 in No Limit Hold’em – High Roller (Event #8) at Jeju Red Dragon 2018.

The final table was bubbled by Canada’s ‘Carffan’. Action moved quickly on the FT, China’s Xiong Huang and Di Lu exited in the 7th and 6th place. Max Veyga, Daniel Montagnolli, and Ronald Haverkamp busted in short order. Heads-up match began between Feng and Zhao. In the final hand, Zhao raised and shoved over a re-raise from Feng.

The board ran {j-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{j-Clubs}, Feng took down the event with Ace high and Zhao had to settle for second place and $159,705.
