PokerBaazi has recently been upping their game and hosting great tournaments and promotions for their users. Recently, they shifted to a new interface and rewards system, which has been a hit so far. Along with their daily featured tournaments, they’ve also been hosting other high-value tournaments to keep their users always engaged.
One such promotion was the WSOP Europe Mega Satty which they launched a couple of weeks back. With a buy-in of INR 5,500, PokerBaazi gave their users the chance to win a massive INR 3 lakh package trip to play poker in one of the most prestigious poker tournament series in Europe.
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is hosting a tournament series in Europe between 12-23 October 2018 with over INR 12 crore to be given away in guaranteed prizes. Here, PokerBaazi gave users the chance to be a part of these big prizes with a buy-in of just INR 5,500.
The tournament was hosted yesterday and some of the best Indian poker pros registered to be a part of this when it began at 9pm. At the end of the registration period, there were a total of 94 entries creating a prize pool of INR 4.7 lakh and it was Dhawalkumar Lachhwani aka ‘Stick3rz’ who ended victorious, winning the mega INR 3 lakh trip to Europe!
Lachhwani has a habit of winning the biggest online tournaments and now he will also get to win big in live poker when he packs his bag and flies to Europe. In July, he shipped the IOPC Sunday SuperStack for over INR 8 lakh and then he topped that prize by shipping the August SSS Main Event on Spartan.
Many top pros were a part of this WSOPE Mega Satty but they all busted along the way, with Lachhwani finally beating Akshay Nasa aka ‘sherlock52’ in heads-up. The guarantee was broken, and Nasa took away INR 1,69,997 for finishing second, while no one else was paid out in the tournament. Nasa also went on to finish second to Anirban Das aka ‘pottysingh’ in the INR 3 lakh Monday MegaStack on PokerBaazi last night.
Gutshot spoke to Lachhwani after the tournament to ask him about the experience. He said, “It was a difficult tournament because the field was reg heavy, plus being a satty, the pay-out was super top heavy. I was fortunate to win a few flips at crucial junctures. This will be my first foreign poker trip and what better way to start than the WSOP-E Colossus.”
He also commented on PokerBaazi and their promotions, saying, “I absolutely love the Baazi promotions and the new software. They have an amazing team, who are always willing to help out the players. Kudos to them!” Keep reading GutshotMagazine.com for more updates on the biggest Indian poker tournaments and promotions.
