‘iphone7s’ wins The Vegas on PokerBaazi

The top Indian poker companies have high-guarantee tournaments taking place throughout the week, as well as on weekends. PokerBaazi is one of the best in India and they have quite a few of these tournaments, including The Vegas which takes place every Wednesday at 8pm.

The tournament features a buy-in of INR 2,200 and a guaranteed prize pool of INR 6 lakh, with some of the best Indian players participating each week. Don’t be confused, the tournament has nothing to do with sending players to Vegas and is just a name given to the tournament by PokerBaazi.

It kicked off as usual last night, and went on for over 6 hours, eventually finishing at 2:23am today morning. A field of 350 entries registered to the tournament, which meant the guarantee was broken and an inflated prize pool of INR 7 lakh was created. This was eventually shared among the top 31 places with a min-cash of INR 7,100.

Topping the field and taking away the biggest prize last night was ‘iphone7s’, who walked away with a huge return on his original investment. He won INR 1.4 lakh and would’ve been delighted after this victory. Gutshot tried to contact the winner after this win, but he preferred to stay anonymous.

He beat Siddharth Karia aka ‘schemer’ in heads-up, who settled for the decent runners-up prize of INR 1,03,250. We had a word with Karia after this deep run. He said, “It was one of the more enjoyable sessions, playing with a couple of good friends on the Final Table. The structure was great, and I loved the experience. Cheers “

Also on the final table was popular player Rubin Labroo, who has been having a great run in online poker of late, his most recent win coming a couple of days back in the BSS SuperStack, followed by a runners-up finish soon later. Ankur Aryan aka ‘enigma89’ also finished 9th, after shipping the Endeavour a couple of nights back.
