King’s Resort reopens with increased safety precautions


The coronavirus and lockdown have caused massive losses around the world. With non-essentials being shutdown, the casino industry has suffered the most. As the month began, the biggest casino in Europe, King’s Resort issued a press release stating that all three properties, including King’s Resort Rozvadov, King’s Casino Prague and Admiral Casino Rozvadov are set to reopen on 11 May after two months-time!

The doors opened at 3 pm, as stated, but it wasn’t the same as before. The casino reopened with roulette, blackjack, slots, and poker cash game. For now, live poker tournaments cannot take place as the situation still stands delicate “we hope we can start them soon as well!” Having been closed since 13 March, King’s previously planned to start operations from 1 September 2020, but the press release reads out, “Highest hygiene standards will be implemented, such as hand sanitizers for the guests and frequent disinfection of all areas. King’s is looking forward to see you soon!”

However, the hotel and restaurant remain close for now, individuals willing to play can enter the premises keeping certain guidelines in mind. Firstly, wearing mask is a compulsion, anyone leaving a spot, a delegate person will disinfect the entire area. Thirdly, all employees will be given face shield which will also be present at the reception. Also, bringing food from outside is prohibited in casino premises, in case anyone wants to order food, he/she will have to walk out of the casino or order it in delegated spot which will be outside 3 meters from the entrance of the casino. Lastly, canned drinks and food sealed in plastic bags will be available at the casino. After 14 days, restrictions on food and beverage will be dismissed.

King’s Casino CEO Leon Tsoukernik previously told all employees that there would be no layoffs and employees will receive full salary. King’s employs over 600 staffs, including poker staffs, chefs, cleaners and so on.
